Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Higher Fore Street, Redruth for its entire length.
Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing One-Way Order The County of Cornwall (Redruth) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1992 Wesley Street (Unclassified) between its junctions with Sea View Terrace and Station Road.
The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because defect repair works are being executed on or near the road.
The Order will come into operation on 8th October 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 8th October 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.
Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
