THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BESTWOOD FOOTPATH NO.3) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION NO.2 ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Bestwood Footpath No.3) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2026 (which came into force on 11 th March 2026 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order until 10 th September 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 10 th September 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Bestwood in the Borough of Gedling :-
Bestwood Footpath No.3 from its junction with B683 Moor Road, to its junction with Bestwood Footpath No.10 near the school.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available for pedestrians will be along the footway of Westhouse Road.
If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety while development works are carried out alongside the footpath.
