SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
ALEXANDRA DRIVE, BRIDLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Alexandra Drive, Bridlington from the junction
with B1254 Flamborough Road and the entire length
of Alexandra Drive commencing 8 October 2026
at 20.00 hours until 10 October 2026 at 05.00
hours to allow for survey works. The road closure
is necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Promenade, Carlisle Road,
Royal Crescent, Bright Crescent and Gladstone Terrace,
Bridlington CP, Bridlington South Ward, Bridlington
North Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the
time of closure. The road will be closed to all through
traffic but access will be maintained for residents,
emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
