What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
HOLMGATE ROAD, CLAY CROSS
WHEN: 26 September to 27 September 2026 (08:00 to 17:00 each day).
WHERE: Holmgate Road, Clay Cross between the Jct. with Valley Road and the Jct. with Newmarket Lane.
REASON: To facilitate cabling works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Holmgate Road, A61 High Street, Clay Lane, Newmarket Lane and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
