ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC CARLISLE ROAD
AND ROYAL CRESCENT, BRIDLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Carlisle Road and Royal Crescent, Bridlington from its
junction with the B1254 Promenade to the junction
with Royal Crescent and the junction with York Road
to the junction of Albion Terrace commencing
1 October 2026 at 08.00 hours until 6 October
2026 at 17.00 hours to allow for carriageway patching
works. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid
for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be completed within six days. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
Promenade, York Road and Royal Crescent, Bridlington
CP, Bridlington South Ward, Bridlington North Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The roads will be closed to all through traffic
and parking will be suspended however access will
be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
