NOTICE is hereby given that the Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intend to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any traffic from proceeding along the Adopted Public Footpath known as Footpath NDA70 between Mill Lane and Ashdown Close.
The alternative route for pedestrians affected by this order will be along Mill Lane and Ashfield Close.
Access to the footpath will be unavailable for the duration of gas main replacement works by Cadent, which are programmed to commence at 12.00am on 28th September 2026. The Order will remain in force for up to a maximum period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. It is anticipated that the works will be completed, and the footpath will re-open by 16th October 2026.
Closure during this period is necessary in the interests of public safety during works which are being undertaken by Cadent Gas.
