The Shropshire Council:
1. (Footpath 1, Parish of Loppington and Footpath 86 and Footpath 87 (part), Parish of Myddle, Broughton and Harmer Hill) Public Path Diversion Order 2018
2. (Footpath 85, Parish of Myddle, Broughton and Harmer Hill) Public Path Extinguishment Order 2018
On 10th September 2026, The Shropshire Council (the “Council”) confirmed the above- named Order made under sections 119 and 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to;
1. Divert FP1 Loppington from SJ 4609 2548 leaving the A528 just south of Burlton, running easterly across the parish boundary and continuing as FP86/87 in Myddle, Broughton and
Harmer Hill, to SJ 4653 2559, approximately 528 metres; onto a line leaving the A528 at SJ 4619 2534 following the hedge line for 261 metres northerly, then turning easterly for 267 metres approximately to SJ 4653 2559 and the remainder of FP 87; and2.
2. Extinguish FP 85 from SJ 4620 2534 leaving the A528 and running north easterly for approximately 273 metres to SJ 4639 2551.

Shropshire Council certify that the Order becomes operative on 24th August 2026; but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5
of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 10th September 2026. make an application to the High Court.
