The Lewisham (Prescribed Routes) (No.2) (School Streets) Traffic Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council on 9 September 2026 made the above-mentioned Order under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into force on 10 September 2026.
PTO 1073
1. The general effect of the Order will be to, make the provisions of “The Lewisham (Prescribed Routes) (No.3) (School Streets) Experimental Traffic Order 2025” permanent which introduces new ‘pedestrian and cycle zones’ to restrict vehicle access in the vicinity of, comprising the roads or parts of roads
listed in column (2) of Schedule 1 to this Notice. These pedestrian and cycle zones will operate at the times listed in column (3) of Schedule 1 and with permits identified in column (4) and (5) to this Notice.
2. Copies of the made Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the Order may be obtained by emailing a request to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk quoting reference ‘PTO 1073’.
3. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
