TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH BENGEO RURAL 004, BENGEO RURAL 003, SACOMBE 011

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Bengeo Rural 004, Bengeo Rural 003, Sacombe 011, Between Footpath 37 and Bridleway 12, for an approximate distance of 2400m.

Alternative Route: Along Bridleways 012, 005, 001, and 035 to the north The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Footpath Bengeo Rural 004, Bengeo Rural 003, Sacombe 011 will be closed on or after 28 September 2026 for up to 1 day, when signs are in place.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY BUNTINGFORD 013

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Buntingford 013, between Hare Street Road and The Causeway, for an approximate distance of 400m.

Alternative route: pedestrians on Buntingford 008 and 034, no suitable alternative for cyclists and equestrians on PROW network

The purpose of the Order is to enable development works to take place.

The section of Bridleway will be closed on or after 11 September 2026 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NELSON STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Nelson Street, Hertford from its junction with Wellington Street south westwards to its junction with Molewood Road, a distance of approximately 91m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Wellington Street, Balfour Street and Port Vale or via Wellington Street and Molewood Road or via Molewood Road, Beane Road, A119 North Road, North Road, St Andrew Street, B158 (Old Cross/Cowbridge/Port Hill/Bengeo Street), Cross Road, Duncombe Road, Farquhar Street, Byde Street and Wellington Street.

The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 29 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF NO.53 AND NO.54 HALLEYS RIDGE, HERTFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the west side of No.53 and No.54 Halleys Ridge, Hertford from its junction with Halleys Ridge south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Halley Ridge, the footpath fronting Nos.66-70 Halleys Ridge, Hertford Public Footpath No.062 and the footpath situated on the west side of No.53 and No.54 Halleys Ridge.

The Order is needed because duct laying works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of West End Road, Wormley from its junction with Tudor Grove south westwards for a distance of approximately 46m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via West End Road, Church Lane, White Stubbs Lane and West End Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 30 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cock Lane, Hoddesdon from its junction with a point 1544m south west of its junction with the A1170 High Road roundabout south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 650m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Cock Lane, Park Lane, Baas Lane, Baas Hill, White Stubbs Lane and Cock Lane.

The Order is needed because overhead cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Priory Street, Ware from its junction with Ware Town Public Footpath No.015 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Priory Street, Harriss Lane, Priory Road, B1001 Watton Road, A1170 (Baldock Street/High Street), the A1170 Bridge Foot roundabout, A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street) and Priory Street.

The Order is needed because drainage works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 54 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Robins Nest Hill, Little Berkhamsted from its junction with B158 Lower Hatfield Road south westwards, southwards and south westwards to its junction with Church Road, a distance of approximately 1881m.

An alternative route will be via B158 (Lower Hatfield Road/unnamed road/Low Road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane), Woodfield Lane, Tylers Causeway, C54 (unnamed road) and Church Road.

2. that length of Fairfield Drive, Wormley from its junction with A1170 High Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Macers Lane, a distance of approximately 556m.

An alternative route will be via A1170 High Road and Macers Lane.

3. that length of Hobbs Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Church Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 81m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of Penton Drive, Cheshunt from its junction with Bellamy Road north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Cadmore Lane, a distance of approximately 544m.

An alternative route will be via Bellamy Road and Cadmore Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 25 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD, BRAUGHING AND LITTLE HADHAM) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A414 Rush Green Link, Hertford from its junction with A1197 London Road north eastwards to its junction with B1502 Stanstead Road, a distance of approximately 1343m.

An alternative route will be via A414 London Road, A119 (Ware Road/Hertford Road/London Road), A1170 (London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill) and A10 (Amwell Link Road/unnamed road).

2. that length of A602 Tonwell Bypass, Hertford from its junction with The Anchor Lane roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 2188m.

An alternative route will be via A602 Westmill Road, A10 (unnamed road/ Wadesmill Bypass/Puckeridge Bypass/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass/ unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road), A505 (Royston Bypass/Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road), A602 Hitchin Road, A1072 Gunnels Wood Road and A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass) or via A602 (Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/ Broadhall Way), A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill), A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road/ Royston Bypass), A10 (Melbourn Road/Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/ Ermine Street/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass/Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road) and A602 Westmill Road.

3. that length of Gravelly Lane/The Street, Braughing from its junction with B1368 Green End south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Vicarage Lane, a distance of approximately 600m. An alternative route will be via B1368 Green End, Ford Street and The Street.

4. that length of Church End, Little Hadham from its junction with Stortford Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 201m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of Roads.

The Order will come into effect on 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Pollards Close, Goffs Oak from its junction with Goffs Crescent south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of B1001 Westmill Road, Ware from its junction with the A602 Westmill Road/A10 (unnamed road) roundabout south eastwards to its junction with B1001 Watton Road, a distance of approximately 425m.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill/London Road/Viaduct Road/High Street/Baldock Street) and B1001 (Watton Road/Westmill Road).

3. that length of Goffs Crescent, Goffs Oak from its junction with Jones Road south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of High Oak Road, Ware from its junction with Fanhams Hall Road south westwards to its junction with Collett Road, a distance of approximately 700m.

An alternative route will be via Musley Hill, New Road, A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street), The Bourne and Collett Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 16 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

An alternative route will be via B181 (Station Road/High Street/Roydon Road), A414 Eastwick Road and B181 Station Road.

The Order is needed because safety compliance for level crossing works is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 15 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
