What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(A616 WORKSOP ROAD, PERLETHORPE CUM BUDBY)
(TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT)
ORDER 2026 (N26-336)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Perlethorpe Cum Budby in the District of Newark and Sherwood.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. No vehicle shall proceed at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in the following length of road:

a. A616 Worksop Road, Perlethorpe Cum Budby - From a point of 300 metres of its junction with Swinecote Road, Edwinstowe in a north westerly direction for 800 metres in a north westerly direction.

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:00 Hours, Monday, 21 September 2026
Until 15:00 Hours, Friday, 02 October 2026 , Inclusive.

The Order will come into force on Monday, 21 September 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out new drainage and catchpit installation;
