PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH A SPECIALIST INCLUSION BASE AT SEND C OF E PRIMARY SCHOOL

Notice is given in accordance with Section 15 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, as amended by the Education Act 2011, that Surrey County Council is proposing to establish a specialist inclusion base for children with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP) at Send C of E Primary School from January 2027.

Surrey County Council, in cooperation with the Governing Body of Send C of E Primary School, are proposing to establish a specialist inclusion base with 28 places for pupils with autism from Reception to Year 6. Each pupil will have an EHCP specifying the specialist inclusion base within the school as an appropriate placement to meet their individual needs.

Surrey County Council has complied with all applicable statutory requirements to consult in connection with this proposal. At the conclusion of the Notice period, if permission is granted by Surrey County Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning, Surrey County Council will implement the proposal.
