What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON-STREET PARKING PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES AND TAXI STANDS) (2ND RECTIFICATION ORDER) 2024 (“THE ORDER”)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council made the Order on 4 September 2026 under sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 53 and 124 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”), after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, and under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Borough of Blackpool) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/2677) and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order is to rectify the Borough of Blackpool (Various Roads) (Consolidation of Waiting Restrictions, On-Street Parking Places, Residents’ Parking Places and Taxi Stands) Order 2024 (“the Consolidation Order”), which consolidated and revoked the individual orders (“the Historic Orders”) listed below, by reinstating a definition of “Church Permit Parking Pass”, designating parking places for vehicles displaying a valid Church Permit Parking Pass relating to the relevant church, and making associated amendments to the exemptions applying to those parking places.
The Order will come into operation on 18 September 2026.

Copies may also be obtained by calling 01253 477477 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, or by emailing traffic.management@blackpool.gov.uk. Please quote the full title of the Order.
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act of 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
