(TEMPORARY 10 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
On 3 September 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 10 mph on that section of the A81 Strathblane Road, near Milngavie between a point 150 metres north of its junction with Craigmaddie Road, northwards for a distance of 600 metres of thereby to the East Dunbartonshire Council and Stirling Council boundary by reason of works being executed on or near this road and in order to facilitate convoy working.
This Order will operate between the hours of 08.00 hours and 18.00 hours each day from Monday, 14 September 2026 until Friday, 18 September 2026.
As part of the carriageway resurfacing works, rolling temporary traffic signals as required will be used to control traffic movements on the above mentioned section of the A81 Strathblane Road, from 07.00 hours on Monday 14 September 2026 for approximately five days. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 07.00 hours and 19.00 hours, each day. The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.
