ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC TRANDY LANE, LAXTON AND SKELTON BROAD LANE, SKELTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the entire length of Trandy Lane, Laxton and Skelton Broad Lane, Skelton commencing 5 October 2026 until 9 October 2026 between 08.30 hours and 17.00 hours, Monday to Friday for the purposes of coring and investigation works and again from 7 December 2026 until 18 December 2026 and from 4 January 2027 until 5 February 2027. Full road closures will be in place for the purposes of carriageway maintenance construction works. The road closures are necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 February 2027. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closures will be via: Trandy Lane, Station Road, Front Street, Chapel Lane, Metham Lane, Greenoak Lane, B1230 Main Road, A614 Hull Road Roundabout, A614 Boothferry Road, A614 Howdendyke Roundabout, A614 Howdendyke
Road, road to warehouses to East of Ferry Road and Howden Road, Laxton CP, Gilberdyke CP, Blacktoft CP, Kilpin CP, Howden CP, Eastrington CP, Howdenshire Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents,
emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
