TEMPORARY CLOSURE C270 WEST END (MINCHINHAMPTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C270 West End from its junction with Windmill Road to outside the property known as ‘No.24 West End’ for a distance of approximately 115 metres.
The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed on 13th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date, the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 407612 SPRINGFIELD ROAD, UPLANDS (STROUD TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 407612 Springfield Road, Uplands from its junction with Springhill to outside the property known as ‘York Villas’ for a distance of approximately 115 metres.
The reason for the closure is for underground road works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 16th September 2026 until 18th September 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS (EASTINGTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works. There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted each night between the hours of 20:00 until 07:00, on a rolling programme commencing 21st September 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 23rd September 2026. However, if the works are not completed by this date, the Order can remain in force for up to 18 months.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401257 MIDDLE ROAD (BRIMSCOMBE & THRUPP PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401257 Middle Road from its junction with London Road to its junction with Rope Walk for a distance of approximately 35 metres.
The reason for the closure is for cable installation work.
The road is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on 28th September 2026 to 15:30hrs on 30th September 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C262 Bath Road from outside of the property known as ‘The Hawthorns’ to outside of the property known as ‘Bath Road Farm’ for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of BT Openreach.
The road is expected to be closed on 28th September 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401271 Bussage Hill, from outside the property known as ‘Lynchgate’ for a distance of approximately 30 metres in a northwardly direction. The reason for the closure is for works to repair a retaining wall.
The said road is expected to be closed from 24th September 2026 until 20th November 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A419 COWCOMBE HILL (CHALFORD PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A419 Cowcombe Hill Road from outside of the property known as ‘Lavender Bakehouse’ to a point 500 metres Southeast for a total distance of approximately 500 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for geotechnical works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 29th September 2026 until 9th October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS, EEA46, EEA41 AND EWH17 (EASTINGTON AND WHITMINSTER PARISHES) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the lengths of footpaths as described in the Schedule below.
Schedule
Part of Public Footpath EEA 46 from its junction with the A38 extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 1500 metres to its junction with public footpath EEA 49 at OSGR.
Part of Public Footpath EEA 41 from its junction with public footpath EEA 76 extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 320 metres to its junction with Road, Spring Hill.
Part of Public Footpath EWH 17 from a point approximately 300 metres east of its junction of the A38 extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 250 metres to its junction with the A419.
The closure is necessary to protect the public due to canal construction works.
This temporary closure Order came into force on the 13th April 2026 and was expected to terminate on the 13th October 2026. However, works have still not been completed, and the Secretary of State has granted an extension of the closure until 13th October 2028 or until the works are completed, whichever is earliest.
