(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026 - TO/R5.3.198
Midlothian Council on 31 August 2026 made the above Order, which comes into force on 21 September 2026. The effect is to reduce the speed limit on the A766 Carlops Road approach to Penicuik from 60 mph to 30 mph. Details may be examined from 3 September to 12 October 2026 at Libraries, at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, or from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 31 August 2026 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.
THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS)
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC) (VARIATION NO _) ORDER 202_ - TO/R5.3.194
The Council proposes to apply double yellow line waiting restrictions on Bank Street and Vaucluse Place in Penicuik, at their junctions with Jackson Street, to improve sightlines and road safety.
