Notice is hereby given that on the 3 September 2026 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council (Moving Traffic Prohibitions and Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to change the usage of the southeastern end of Link Road, Nailsea to One-Way that allows vehicles to proceed in a southeast bound direction only. There will be an exemption on this new section of One-Way for pedal cycles which will allow them to proceed in each direction. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this notice.

The order will come into operation on the 28 September 2026 and copies of the order may be inspected at: https://streets.appyway.com/north-somerset

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Schedule - Part 3: Moving Restrictions – One-Way with exemptions for pedal cycles: Link Road, Nailsea creation of a section of One-Way on the southeastern end of Link Road beginning at its junction with The Courtyard and ending at its junction with High Street.

The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include amendments to parking restrictions (laybys) on Link Road, Nailsea, North Somerset. Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include School Keep Clear markings, on roads within Clevedon, Dundry, Hewish, Nailsea, Portishead, Tickenham, Weston-super-Mare and Yatton. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this notice. Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Ladymade Lane, Churchill, North Somerset

Temporary One-Way Traffic Order 2022

Date coming into force: 28 September 2026

Ref: T26-74

Will be to create, temporarily, a one-way restriction which will not permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of road specified in column 1 of the Schedule in a direction other than that specified in column 2 of the said Schedule. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking emergency work.

This order is required in the interest of public safety and to facilitate road works and will become operative on the 28 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works at the Churchill Traffic lights which is anticipated to be of 27 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Ladymade Lane from its junction with A38 Bristol Road, Churchill to its junction with Turnpike Close, south to north. Alternative routes - Ladymade Lane, Pudding Pie Lane, B3133 Stock Lane, A38 Bristol Road.

Farleigh Road, Backwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 4 December 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water Services to replace a manhole cover. This order will become operative on the 4 December 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 1 night in duration between 7.30pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Firmacore Limited for Persimmon Homes to install new Gully storm drainage lines, new kerb lines and speed humps. This order will become operative on the 12 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 34 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
