South Somerset - Temporary Road Closures for Pre-Surface Dressing and Patching Works

Somerset Council Parishes of East Chinnock, Odcombe, Montacute, Norton Sub Hamdon and Stoke Sub Hamdon Temporary Closure of Landshire Lane, Ham Hill Road, Park Lane and Ham Hill

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Landshire Lane (29/09/2026 - 07/10/2026) - from the junction with Street Lane to the junction with East Chinnock Road; Ham Hill Road (12/10/2026 - 16/10/2026) - from the junction with Old Road to the junction with Woodhouse Lane; Park Lane (12/10/2026 - 16/10/2026) - from the junction with Woodhouse Lane to the junction with Hollow Lane; Park Lane (14/10/2026 - 19/10/2026) - from the junction with Hollow Lane, westwards for a distance of 813 metres; and Ham Hill (14/10/2026 - 27/10/2026) - from the junction with High Street, south-eastwards for a distance of 1480 metres. A total distance of 5590 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out phased pre-surface dressing and patching works on behalf of Somerset Council.

The Order becomes effective on 23rd September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 29th September 2026 and last until 27th October 2026 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 29 days.
