What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Norton sub Hamdon Temporary Closure of Little Street and Great Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Little Street (28/09/2026 - 02/10/2026) - from the junction with Great Street, southwards for a distance of 60 metres; and Great Street (28/09/2026 only) - from the junction with Little Street, eastwards for a distance of 60 metres.
A total distance of 120 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out phased manhole and chamber replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 23rd September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 28th September 2026 and last until 2nd October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 22:00 for a total of 5 days.
