What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of West Crewkerne Temporary Closure of Roundham Straight

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Roundham Straight - from 183 metres north-west of the junction with Cathole Bridge Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 26 metres. This Order will enable Southwest Overhead Services Ltd to replace a pole on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 23rd September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th October 2026 and last until 4th October 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 13:30 for a total of 4 hours.
