What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Broadway Temporary Closure of Barrington Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Barrington Hill - from the junction with Wood Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 100 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection works.
The Order becomes effective on 23rd September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 29th September 2026 and last until 2nd October 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 4 days.
