Barn Street - Temporary Road Closure due to Openreach Excavation Works

Somerset Council Parish of Crewkerne Temporary Closure of Barn Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Barn Street - from the junction with Tower Hill Road to the junction with West Street. A total distance of 191 metres. This Order will enable Circet Uk to excavate to clear multiple blockages on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 23rd September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 28th September 2026 and last until 30th September 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
