THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 COMMON LANE, WELTON (PART), COMMON LANE CROSSING, WELTON AND COMMON LANE SOUTH, WELTON (PART)
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any motor vehicle to proceed along Common Lane, Welton (approximately ten metres North-Northeast of Common Lane Crossing, Welton to Common Lane Crossing, Welton). Common Lane Crossing, Welton (whole extent), Common Lane South, Welton (from Common Lane Crossing for approximately 15 metres South-Southwest).
The reason for this order is to enable access along this length of public highway for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders only. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 April 2028. The alternative route for traffic affected by the order is via Blenheim Avenue, Ings Bridge Roundabout, Moor Road, Moor Road Roundabout, Moor Road, Welton Road, Water Lane Roundabout, Welton Road, Brough, Water Lane Roundabout, Water Lane, Elloughton, Stanley Jackson Way and Common Lane, Welton.
The road will be closed to all motor vehicles but remain open at all times to pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders.
The Order will commence 10 September 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
