What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD (A329 LONDON ROAD (PART), ASCOT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:

Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of the A329 London Road from the western boundary of property known as “Greenhayes” westward to access road to Victory Field.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via A329 London Road, A329 Blacknest Road, A30 London Road, A330 Devenish Road, A330 Brockenhurst Road, A330 Brockenhurst Road, A330 Station Hill, A329 High Street and A329 London Road.

The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate frame and cover replacement in the carriageway, and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.

The proposed Order shall be in operation from 21:00 hours on Thursday 24 September until 06:00 hours on Friday 25 September 2026. Vehicles will be prohibited when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
