ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – WALPOLE ROAD, BRIGHTON

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

    a) The temporary suspension of the loading bay on Walpole Road, Brighton, on the eastern kerb line, at the southern most point of Walpole Road, for its entire length.

    b) The temporary suspension of the Permit holders H or pay by phone 9am - 8pm parking bay, on the eastern kerb line, from the afore mentioned loading bay, in a northerly direction, to the pedestrian crossing point, a distance of approximately 25 metres.

  2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out development works of the Convent Boarding House for Brighton College.
  3. This Order comes into force on 16 September 2026 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 15 February 2028.
