What is happening?

FOOTPATHS 247A, 248, 249, & 250

DARWEN AND FOOTPATHS 10 & 12 (PART) ECCLESHILL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024

BLACKBURN with DARWEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred by section 15 (5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has approved of the continuing in force of the Order made and effective on the 29th of February 2024. As the works have not been completed the Secretary of State for Transport granted a further extension of the Order 31st August 2028 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using the footpaths referred to in the Schedule below due to works being carried out on the line of the right of way. The alternative routes available (if any) are referred to in the schedule below.

The paths will be closed in the interest of public safety.
