What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
WOODMANSEY FOOTPATH NO 7 (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2026

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from proceeding on foot along the full extent of Woodmansey Footpath No 7. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed construction works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The alternative route for persons affected by the Order is via Woodmansey Bridleway 6, Skidby Bridleway 17, TPT Road, Skidby Footpath 17 and Skidby Footpath 16.

The Order will commence 14 September 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
