What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

GLEBE ROAD, STAPLEFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 05/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 40 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake road bridge strengthening work. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Glebe Rd, Holygate Rd, Stapleford Rd, Saxby Rd B676, Wymondham Rd, Melton Rd, Glebe Rd & vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Glebe Rd, Stapleford from the Jct of the Rd named From Glebe Rd to Station Rd Wymondham due East up to the railway level crossing.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 05/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway resurfacing works. The diversion routes will be signed on site.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Norman Wy, Park Rd – for their entire lengths; Scalford Rd between the Norman Wy & Elgin Dr Jcts; Nottingham St between the Norman Wy & Park Rd Jcts; Snow Hill between the Norman Wy & Stanley St Jcts; Saxby Rd between the Thorpe End & Brook St Jcts; Thorpe End between the Norman Wy & Goodriche St Jcts; Thorpe Road between the Norman Wy & Charles Dyer Jcts – Melton Mowbray.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC

St Mary St, King St for their entire lengths, Melton Mowbray.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

EAST END, LONG CLAWSON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 12/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.

The works may last for up to 12 days to allow AVOVE on behalf of Severn Trent Water to undertake a utility connection. The proposed diversions will be via: Waltham Ln, Long Clawson; Clawson Ln, Holwell; Clawson Rd, Ab Kettleby; Melton Rd, West End, Sand Pit Ln, Back Ln, The Sands, East End, Long Clawson & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 08/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months.

The works may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake repairs to a damaged bridge. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 07/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 7 days to allow Morrison Telecom Services on behalf of BT Openreach to undertake cable ducting installation works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Rectory Ln, Market St, High St, Albert St, Chapel St, Devin Ln & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 07/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 10 days to allow RNR Contract (Midlands) Ltd to carry out a utility connection. There is no available diversion route at this location.
