THE WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL (Crofthead Interchange Underpass - A71 Bankton Road crossing Bankton Mains Footpath. Dedridge, Livingston.) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 - TTO/TM.451.2026/2026

The Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that the road noted in the Schedule below will be closed for the period specified to enable removal and replacement of the existing bridge deck expansion joints, concrete deck repairs (if required) and resurfacing works to be carried out. Traffic will be diverted as undernoted. Pedestrians will be unaffected. Further information is available from the Roads Manager on 01506 280000.

Location: Crofthead Interchange Underpass - A71 Bankton Road crossing Bankton Mains Footpath. Dedridge, Livingston.

Dates and Times: 21/9/2026 at 00:01 until 6/10/2026 AT 23:59

Diverstion Route:

Phase 1 Closure - Eastbound: The diversion heading eastbound takes you North along Alderstone Road, at Almondvale Roundabout take the third exit and follow Almondvale Road when you will join the A899 southbound. At Lizzie Brice’s Roundabout take the third exit to rejoin the A71 Bankton Road westbound. Westbound: Exit the A71 Bankton Road at Crofthead Interchange. Take the second exit to rejoin the A71 westbound slip road and rejoin the A71 Bankton Road (westbound).

Phase 2 Closure - Crofthead Interchange Westbound On-Slip: At Crofthead Interchange Roundabout head north to join Dedridge West Road. At the junction turn left onto Dedridge North Road. At Adambrae Roundabout take the first exit to join Alderstone Road. The diversion ends when it meets Newpark Roundabout.
