MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A470, neu gerllaw iddi, yn Rhaeadr Gwy, Powys.
Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd, ac eithrio’r rhai a ddefnyddir gan y gwasanaethau brys neu ar gyfer y gwaith, rhag mynd ar y darn o’r gefnffordd o’r enw South Street, yn Rhaeadr Gwy, Powys, sy’n ymestyn o’i chyffordd â’r A44 hyd at bwynt 90 o fetrau i’r de-ddwyrain o’i chyffordd â Lôn Caeherbert.

THE A470 TRUNK ROAD (RHAYADER, POWYS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A470 trunk road at Rhayader, Powys.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, other than those being used by the emergency services, or for the works, from proceeding on the length of the trunk road known as South Street, at Rhayader, Powys, that extends from its junction with the A44 to a point 90 metres southeast of its junction with Caeherbert Lane.
The alternative route for northbound traffic will be via the southbound A470 to Llanelwedd, northbound A483 to Newtown, westbound A489 to its junction with the A470 at Caersws and southbound A470 to Rhayader. Vice versa for southbound traffic.
Northbound high-sided vehicles over 14ft in height should follow the above route to Llandrindod Wells then proceed through Ddole Road Enterprise Park, take the westbound A4081 to Llanyre, leave the A4081 and travel northbound through Llanyre, follow Gravel Road and the eastbound A44 to join the A483 at Crossgates then continue as above. Vice versa for southbound vehicles.
The Order will come into force on 17 September 2026. The temporary prohibition is expected to operate overnight from 18:00 hours on 17 September 2026 to 04:00 hours on 18 September 2026, or until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.
Although the Order is only expected to operate during the period specified above, it will remain valid for a maximum period of 6 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required. Notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work begins.
