On the 28th August 2026 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises the restriction of vehicular access on a section of Glendoune Road (from its junction with Ashfield Road southbound for a distance of approximately 35 metres or thereby), Clarkston, in order to facilitate the safe operation of Scottish Power utility works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried out from 08:00 on Monday 12th October to 17:00 on Sunday 1st November 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: Ashfield Road – Eaglesham Road – Glendoune Road and vice versa.
