Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026
On 09 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Arthur Road (D5318) Farnham as extends from its junction with (D5318) Arthur Close to its junction with (X67399) Avon Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Arthur Road (D5318) and Woodhill Lane (D118) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” and Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Weydon Hill Road, (B3384) Ridgway Road, (A287) Firgrove Hill, and Arthur Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer pipe repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
East Street (B3228) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 4 September 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Street (B3228) Farnham eastbound as extends from its junction with Dogflud Way (B3228) to its junction with St James Court (X67784).
Alternative route – B3228 (Dogflud Way and East Street), A287 (South Street), B3001 (South Street), A31 (Farnham By-Pass), A325 (Farnborough Road), and B3007 (Hale Road). This Order is required to enable Connect It Utility Services to facilitate high voltage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 September 2026 for 1 month between the hours of 8.00pm and 4.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Hale House Lane (D127) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 09 September 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hale House Lane (D127) Churt as extends from its junction with (D130) Old Barn Lane north-eastwards for a distance of 100 metres. Alternative Route – Hale House Lane; Crabtree Lane; Jumps Road; Tilford Road; and Hale House Lane or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 25 September 2026 is required to facilitate overhead cabling works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Virgin Media within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
A31 Coxbridge Roundabout, A31 Farnham By-Pass and A31 Alton Road, Farnham
Temporary Speed Limit Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: - 1. Impose a maximum speed limit of 30mph in: - a) The entire length of the carriageway that is comprised within the roundabout at the junction of B3228 West Street, A325 Wrecclesham Road, A31 Farnham By-Pass and A31 Alton Road, Farnham “the A31 Coxbridge Roundabout”. b) That length of A31 Farnham By-Pass and A31 Alton Road, Farnham (westbound carriageway) that extends from a point 500m east of its junction with “the A31 Coxbridge Roundabout”, to a point 50m west of its junction with A31 Coxbridge Roundabout. c) That length of A31 Farnham By-Pass and A31 Alton Road, Farnham (eastbound carriageway) that extends from a point 500m west of its junction with “the A31 Coxbridge Roundabout”, to a point 50m east of its junction with A31 Coxbridge Roundabout. 2. “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Farnham) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2023” shall be suspended insofar as imposes a speed limit of 50mph in the lengths of A31 Coxbridge Roundabout, A31 Farnham By-Pass and A31 Alton Road, Farnham described in 1. a), b) and c) above. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary suspension and speed limits will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limits imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
