TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.12) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a part width of Haig Street at Ferryhill, in the County of Durham. This is to enable development as permitted by Durham County Council under the provisions of the Act and Schedule 2, Part 2, Class A of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO3627238)). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Ferryhill Library, 12 North Street, Ferryhill, Durham, DL17 8HX.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 7 September 2026.
