(LOWER ANTLEY STREET, ACCRINGTON, HYNDBURN BOROUGH) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING EXCEPT ACCESS AND PEDAL CYCLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 28th August 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and 92 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving except for access and cycles in Lower Antley Street, Accrington, from its junction with Barlow Street to its junction with Sidings Way.
This prohibition includes an obstruction in accordance with Section
92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
This Order will come into force on the 14th September 2026.
A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Hyndburn Borough Council, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-andtravel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanenttraffic- regulation-orders/, quoting ref: LSG4/894_20355/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
