Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Lansdown Close (D3614) St Johns; and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council Various in Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026” insofar as it relates to Lansdown Close (D3614) St Johns.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate new duct installation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 October 2026 for 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Victoria Way (A320) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Victoria Way (A320) Woking as extends from its junction with (D7244) Goldsworth Road to its junction with (D7281) Church Street West. Alternative Routes – (1) Goldsworth Road; Parley Drive; Harelands Roundabout; Lockfield Drive; and Victoria Way; and (2) Guildford Road; Station Approach; Victoria Road. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 26 September 2026 is required to facilitate carriageway repair works and/or water utility works and/ or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Affinity Water within the length of road described in this notice. The works in are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents, businesses, the emergency services and cyclists will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
