TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 3, SANTON DOWNHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 3, Santon Downham from the junction with Thetford Road for 2km southbound to facilitate sewage infrastructure works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the junction with Green Road for 740 metres eastbound then going southbound until the junction with footpath 3 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/09/2026 - 29/01/2027 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

● U2030 Clapgate Lane, Ipswich from Cliff Lane to Raeburn Road
● U2022 Powling Road, Ipswich from Clapgate Lane to number 33 Powling Road
● U2025 Benacre Road, Ipswich from Clapgate Lane to number 57 Benacre Road

This is to facilitate footway slurry sealing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
