ALDER ROAD & RECREATION ROAD, POOLE – ROAD CLOSURE

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT: Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE & WHEN:

• Alder Road for 50m either side of its junction with Recreation Road

Anticipated dates: 21st September 2026 until 23rd September 2026 nighttime only from 19:00 until 06:00

• Alder Road for 50m either side of its junction with Recreation Road

Anticipated dates: 21st October 2026 until 31st October 2026 nighttime only from 19:00 until 06:00

• Recreation Road closed from its junction with Alder Road to its junction with Gloucester Road

Anticipated dates: 23rd September 2026 until 23rd October 2026 from 08:00 until 19:00

WHY: This is to facilitate highway improvement works by BCP Council

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
