What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A12 MAIN ROAD, DARSHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A12 Main Road, Darsham from the junction with Westleton Road to the junction with The Street to facilitate road widening, footway improvements, new pedestrian crossing island and resurfacing and markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A12, the A14, the A140, the A143, the A146, the A1145, the A12 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/09/2026 - 18/09/2026 from 8am to 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2218 FAIRFIELD ROAD, FRAMLINGHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2218 Fairfield Road, Framlingham from Coopers Close to Brick Lane to facilitate tree works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1116; the B1119 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 07/09/2026 from 8am until 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE THORNHILL ROAD FOOTWAY UNASSOCIATED, CLAYDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the Thornhill Road Footway Unassociated, Claydon from no. 59 to no 73 to facilitate duct laying works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Exeter Road, Thornhill Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/09/2026 - 11/09/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Exeter Road, Thornhill Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/09/2026 - 11/09/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2335 ALDE LANE AND PARK ROAD, ALDEBURGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U2335 Alde Lane, Aldeburgh from the junction with the A1094 to Granvilles Garden
  2. U2335 Park Road, Aldeburgh from the junction with the A1094 for 10 metres south westbound

This is to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. The Terrace, Chippings Hill, the A1094 and vice versa.
  2. The A1094 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  1. 07/09/2026 - 27/09/2026
  2. 12/10/2026 - 23/10/2026

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2106 RECTORY ROAD, KETTLEBURGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2106 Rectory Road, Kettleburgh from the junction with School Hill for 180 metres northbound to facilitate pole replacement and overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be School Hill, Kettleburgh Road, Lampard Brook, High Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2026 - 09/09/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
