RHODDIR RHYBUDD DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd dros Ben-y-bont-ar Ogwr gan arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) yn bwriadu o fewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn gwneud Gorchymyn fydd yn cyflwyno dros dro y cyfyngiad a eglurir yn yr atodlen isod.
Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol oherwydd nad yw’r gerbytffordd yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau yn ystod y gwaith o osod wyneb newydd ar y gerbytffordd ac mae er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd.
Daw y Gorchymyn i rym ar 23/09/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf, neu tan y cyfryw amser ag y bydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag fydd y cyntaf.
Disgwylir i’r gwaith a gynlluniwyd gael ei wneud rhwng 16:30 a 00:00 ar Ddydd Sul, y 4ydd o Hydref 2026 a Dydd Sul, yr 11eg o Hydref 2026.
Atodlen - Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd deithio ymlaen ar hyd Heol Llangrallo o fynedfa Asda at Gyffordd Heol Tremaen, Pen-y-bont-ar Ogwr.Y ffordd amgen i gerbydau yw ar hyd Heol Tremaen, ffordd gyswllt yr A4061 ar draws y dyffryn, yr A473 Heol Tondu – Stryd y Parc, ffordd osgoi fewnol yr A473, yr A473 Heol y Bont-faen, ffordd gyswllt Heol y Bont-faen / Heol Llangrallo ac i’r gwrthwyneb.
Darperir mynediad drwy’r cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans wrth iddynt ymateb i achosion brys.
Cedwir mynediad ar droed i gerddwyr at bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau fydd wedi eu diffinio drwy gydol y cyfnod y bydd y ffordd ar gau. Cedwir mynediad at Barc Busnes Dunraven.
Ni fydd y cyfyngiadau’n weithredol, fodd bynnag, ond ar y cyfryw amser ac i’r cyfryw raddau ag y dangosir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(COYCHURCH ROAD, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below.
The Order is due to insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during carriageway resurfacing works and is in the interest of public safety.
The Order will come into force on the 23/09/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated that the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 16:30 and 00:00 on Sunday 4th October 2026 and Sunday 11th October 2026.
Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Coychurch Road from Asdas entrance to Tremains Road Junction, Bridgend.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Tremains road, A4061 Cross valley link road, A473 Tondu road-Park st., A473 inner bypass, A473 Cowbridge road, Cowbridge road/Coychurch road link and vice versa.
Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies.
Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure. Access will be maintained to Dunraven Business Park.
The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
