What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF NORTH ROAD AND PART OF DENE ROAD EAST DENE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 7th September until Wednesday 9th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (repairs to water main).

SCHEDULE

(i)  North Road from a point 100m west of its junction with Dene Road to a point approximately 230m in an easterly direction. (ii) D ene Road at its junction with North Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF NETHERTHORPE ROAD THORPE SALVIN ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Netherthorpe Road from a point approximately 80m west of its junction with Thorpe Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction from Tuesday 8th September until Friday 11th September 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Back Lane, Worksop Road, Common Road, Netherthorpe Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to water apparatus).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of South Street from its junction with Katherine Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction from Tuesday 15th September until Wednesday 23rd September 2026. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Repairs to water apparatus).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF GRANGE VIEW ROAD, PART OF OLD WORTLEY ROAD AND

PART OF DROPPINGWELL ROAD KIMBERWORTH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the three parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Monday 7th September until Sunday 15th November 2026. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Installation of water main).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Grange View Road at its junction with Upper Wortley Road (the alternative route will be via Farm View Road, Droppingwell Road, A629 Upper Wortley Road and vice versa).

(ii)   Old Wortley Road at its junction with A629 Wortley Road (the alternative route will be via A629 Wortley Road, Fellows field Way, Farm View Road, Droppingwell Road, A629 Upper Wortley Road and vice versa).

(iii)   Droppingwell Road from a point approximately 15m south of its junction with Farm View Road to the rear of Webster Close (the alternative route will be via Droppingwell Road, A629 Upper Wortley Road, A629 Wortley Road, High Street, Meadowhall Road, Richmond Park Avenue, West Hill and vice versa).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.12 WHISTON AND PART OF PUBLIC

FOOTPATH NO.13 WHISTON ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the parts of Public Footpath no.12 Whiston and Public Footpath No.13 Whiston specified in the Scheule to this notice from Monday 14th September 2026 for a period of  six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians affected by  the Order will be via a point on Long Lane at Grid Reference SK 4433 8908 and proceeding in a north easterly direction for 320m to a point at Grid Reference  SK 4458 8927 at the junction with Footpath No.13 in Whiston.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpaths (Construction of a construction compound).

SCHEDULE

(i)    That part of Public Footpath No.12 Whiston commencing from a point on Long lane at Grid Reference SK 4432 8910 and proceeding in a north easterly direction for a distance of 287m to a point at Grid Reference  SK 4454 8930.

(ii)   That part of Public Footpath No.13 Whiston commencing from a point on Footpath No.12 at Grid Reference 4450 8925 and proceeding in a north easterly direction for 91m to a point at Grid Reference SK 4458 8927.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.18 MALTBY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.18 Maltby commencing from its junction with Glencairn Close and proceeding in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 750m to a point at Grid Reference SK 5397 9270 from Saturday  12th September 2026 for a period of up to six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via a continuation of Public Footpath 18 Maltby and Public Footpath 2 Maltby.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Public safety and site security during ongoing site works)
