(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE & PARKING RESTRICTION)
(CHRISTOPHER AVENUE, W7) ORDER 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ealing Council intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or existing, on Christopher Avenue, W7 at its junction roads with Boston Road and Clitherow Avenue, at such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.
2. The Order will come into effect at 0800 hours on Monday, 21 September 2026, and is required to facilitate Highway improvement works to be undertaken safely on Christopher Avenue, W7.
3. The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4 October 2026.
4. Diversions for all vehicular traffic shall be via Cardiff Road.
5. Exemptions will be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
