What is happening?

The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 21 of the Town Police Clause Act 1847, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (North Walk, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours until 1800 hours on Sunday 13 September 2026, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along North Walk, between its junctions with Esplanade and its junction with Canoe Lake Road. The closure is required for safety during the Classic Car Show. The diversion will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Canoe Lake Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours until 1800 hours on Sunday 13 September 2026, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner a) the one-way restriction will be revoked along Canoe Lake Road between Esplanade and North Walk; b) a ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restriction will be introduced along Canoe Lake Road, on the south side, between Esplanade and North Walk. No person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to wait along Canoe Lake Road between its junctions with Esplanade and Canoe Lake Road. These restrictions are required for safety during the Classic Car Show.

The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Quay, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours until 1800 hours on Saturday 12 September 2026, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Newport Quay, Newport, between its junctions with Sea Street, Newport, and its junction with Seaclose, Newport. The closure is required for safety during the Classic Car Show. The diversion will be signposted locally.
