CHILTERN STREET, KENRICK PLACE AND PADDINGTON STREET
THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (F ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. 5) ORDER 2026

1.NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 7th September 2026 made the above Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to:
(a) introduce lengths of double yellow line "at any time" waiting and loading restrictions on:
(i) both sides of Chiltern Street, north of its junction with Paddington Street;

(ii) the north side of Paddington Street:
• between its junction with Chiltern Street and the eastern kerb-line of Sherlock Mews; and 
• adjacent to No. 94 Baker Street; and
(iii) the south side of Paddington Street, between the western kerb-line of Chiltern Street and the eastern kerbline of Baker Street;

(b) introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions on both sides of Kenrick Place at its junction with Paddington Street, replacing 4.8 metres of single yellow line waiting restrictions on each side; 

(c) introduce 5.5 metres of single yellow line waiting restrictions, operating between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays, on the north side of Paddington Street, outside No. 24, replacing a length of double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions;

(d) introduce a loading bay on the north side of Paddington Street, outside Nos. 33 and 34, operational "at any time" with a maximum stay of 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour; and

(e) shorten each pay-by-phone parking bay outside Nos. 22 and 23 Paddington Street by 0.5 metres and introduce 1.5 metres of double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions to the immediate west of the entrance to the internal servicing bay within Nos. 22 to 26 Paddington Street.

3. The Order, which will come into force on 15th September 2026, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection until 19th October 2026 at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/ notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
