Mae’r Gorchymyn er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd oherwydd gwaith gosod polion ac nad yw’r gerbytffordd yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau yn ystod y gwaith.
Daw y Gorchymyn i rym ar 23/09/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf, neu tan y cyfryw amser ag y bydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag fydd y cyntaf. Disgwylir i’r gwaith a gynlluniwyd gael ei wneud rhwng 09:30am a 15:30pm ar 28 Medi 2026.
Atodlen - Ni chaiff neb beri i unrhyw gerbyd deithio ymlaen am oddeutu 200 metr ar hyd College Close o’i gyffordd â Heol y Bont-faen.
Nid oes ffyrdd amgen ar gael i gerbydau. Darperir mynediad drwy’r cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans wrth iddynt ymateb i achosion brys.
Cedwir mynediad ar droed i gerddwyr at bob eiddo o fewn y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau fydd wedi eu diffinio drwy gydol y cyfnod y bydd y ffordd ar gau.
Ni fydd y cyfyngiadau’n weithredol, fodd bynnag, ond ar y cyfryw amser ac i’r cyfryw raddau ag y dangosir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below.
The Order is in the interest of public safety due to polling works and there is insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during works.
The Order will come into force on the 23/09/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 on 28 September 2026.
Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed for approximately 200 meters of College Close, from its junction with Cowbridge Road. There are no alternative routes for vehicles available.
Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies.
Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
