WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(BROADWAY TERRACE, SOUTH ELMSALL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 260) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for sewer lining and patching works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Broadway Terrace, South Elmsall, between numbers 1 to 32. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Broadway Terrace.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Pedestrian access will be maintained, residents vehicular access will be maintained when safe to do so.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th September 2026, between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ST HELEN’S PLACE, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 262) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: St Helen’s Place, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of St Helen’s Place.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th September 2026 to 23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(NEW ROAD, OLD SNYDALE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 263) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for trial holes for utility works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: New Road, Old Snydale at the junction of Common Side Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of New Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Diversion to Loscoe Lane roundabout.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th September 2026 to 10th September 2026 and again on 14th September 2026 to 17th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(EASTFIELD LANE, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 271) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Eastfield Lane, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Eastfield Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Eastfield Lane, Maltkiln Lane, Healdfield Road, Ferrybridge Road, Bridge Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd September 2026 to 7th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BROOKFIELD AVENUE, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 272) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for electricity connection, to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Brookfield Avenue, Castleford, for approximately 90 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Brookfield Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th September 2026 to 30th September 2026, between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CREWE AVENUE, FERRYBRIDGE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 275) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Crewe Avenue, Ferrybridge for approximately 140.27 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Crewe Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wentcliffe Road, Houghton Avenue, Wordsworth Drive & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 21st September 2026 to 16th October 2026 between 08.00 hours to 16.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
