(50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026 AND CYCLE TRACK/FOOTWAY NOTICE 2026
The Norfolk County Council propose to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The Norfolk County Council (Horsford, Reepham Road) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 202X
The effect of this Order will be to extend the current 50mph restriction along the C261 Reepham Road by 156 metres meaning that the new length of road subject to the speed restriction will be:

C261 Reepham Road | From a point 175 metres north-west of the centreline of its junction with the U57388 Drayton Wood Road north westwards to a point 424 metres north-west of the centreline of its junction with the U51248 Drewray Drive, a distance of 4109 metres. |
The Norfolk County Council (Horsford, C261 Reepham Road) Cycle track/Footway Notice 2026
Under Sections 65(1), 66(1) and 66(4) of the Highways Act 1980, Norfolk County Council propose to install a shared use footway/cycle track (with rights of way on foot) at the following location:

C261 Reepham Road (Western side) | From a point 65 metres south-east of its junction with the A1270 roundabout south-east for 72 metres. From a point 166 metres north-west of its junction with the U51248 Drewray Drive, north-west for 65 metres. |
A copy of the draft Order, the Order being varied, plans and a Statement of Reasons for making the Order can be viewed online at www.norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH and at the offices of The Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF during normal office hours. Online viewing is recommended.
Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Comments may also be made on the proposed road humps. All correspondence for this proposal must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of the nplaw Traffic Regulation Order Team by 29th September 2026. They may also be emailed to trafficorders@norfolk.gov.uk.
