Middle Road - Temporary Road Closure due to Carriageway Defect Works
What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (MIDDLE ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (192/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Middle Road between its junction with South East Road and Kenson Gardens.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for carriageway defect.
3. The alternative route will be Middle Road, Deacon Road, Spring Road and Station Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 21st September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be completed by 23rd September 2026.
