Vincents Walk - Temporary Road Closure Due To Manhole Cover Repairs
What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (VINCENTS WALK) (ROAD CLOSURE) (123/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 31st August 2026. 1. The effect of the Order will be to close Vincents Walk from its junction with Vincents Walk (loop) to its junction with Hanover Buildings. 2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to complete manhole cover repairs. 3. The alternative route will be Hanover Buildings, Palmerston Road and Pound Tree Road. 4. The Order will come into force on 8th September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 9th September 2026.
