TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (IFIELD ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they have made a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Ifield Road to be closed from outside of number 45 to the junction of the Fawcett Street.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 14th September 2026 until 18.00hrs on Wednesday 16th September 2026, with backup dates of Monday 21 st September 2026 until Wednesday 23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Ifield Road, Fawcett Street, Finborough Road, Cathcart Road, Ifield Road.
The one-way working of Ifield Road between Cathcart Road to Fawcett Street is to be suspended for the duration of the works.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
