The Scottish Borders Council (A701 Wrae Farm, South of Rachan Mill) (Temporary 10mph Speed Restriction) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 8 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30. The Order is required to ensure a safe driving and working environment while Openreach works are carried out.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 10mph along the A701 at Wrae Farm, South of Rachan Mill from a point 100 metres north of its junction with the access road to Wrae Farm to a point 100 metres south of the same junction.
